KUALA LUMPUR: The 33rd Anugerah Juara Lagu’s Best Vocal recipient Misha Omar is giving seven days to individuals who have accused her of using black magic at the recent annual song competition.

“My intention is not to seek monetary compensation, but rather to meet them in person, so that they could apologise to me personally.

“At the same time, I intend to find out further what had triggered them to say such things about me,” said the 37-year-old artiste at a press conference held at Tovista Cafe, KL Eco City Mall here today.

Misha also said that she had never known or even worked with the individuals who had since been identified to have vilified her reputation on social media.

At the AJL 33, besides Best Vocals, Misha’s song Sampai Bila took home the No. 3 spot for Best Song.

Following her wins, a Netizen had tweeted alleging that Misha had used black magic to win.

“From Twitter, it found its way on Facebook and later shared by many. It got viral until many of my friends got to know about it.

“While I’ve never really paid much attention to what is being written or shared about me on social media, this was a definitely different. It affected me,” she said.

Misha said that besides wanting to clear her name, she also wanted to put a stop to cyber-bullying by engaging legal experts to assist her in this case.

She has also lodged police reports, and her lawyers from Amelda Fuad Abi & Aidil had also written a letter to Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission regarding the matter.
